Inspection of above-ground and underground heating oil tanks

This inspection is mandatory before the tank is put into service. In addition, private underground heating oil tanks of up to 5,000 litres must be inspected periodically. The interval depends on the material of the outer wall and the way the tank is installed. The inspection of an underground tank must be repeated every 5 years. An above-ground tank that has already been inspected no longer needs to be re-inspected
