What must be present for the inspection?
The following elements must be present during the inspection:
- Before the inspection, your installer must create a digital certificate of conformity via the Elgacert platform.
- The pipes and connections.
- The gas appliances.
- The flue connection and the chimney (if required).
- The flue outlet of the appliance.
- Air supply and exhaust (if required).
- There must be a test point to which the test equipment can be connected (T-piece with valve and plug).
How is the inspection carried out?
The inspection checks whether the installation complies with the applicable standards. A visual check is made of the combustion air supply, the flue gas exhaust, the pipework, the way the pipes are connected, the method of installation and the connection of the appliance to the internal pipework, and a leak-tightness test is carried out.
After inspection and approval, the applicant receives the certificate needed to have the gas meter opened.
